Wedding Ring Pillow & Back Surgery
Finished the wedding ring pillow in time for the wedding, and that's the invitation scanned on the back so the bride was very delighted, the wedding was today and of all things out of the blue a month ago I damaged my back enough to cause nerve damage, never lift more than you should, and was not able to go. Had surgery on the 12th, few little bolts and screws, here and there, home in 4 days and now a long recuperation period. You just never know, need to remember that I'm not 20 anymore.
Had one of the best back surgeons in this area or I might still be there, and sweet, funny and beyond handsome, the surgeon in cowboy boots. He and his PA sat with me after the surgery in the recovery room since Jim could not stay that long which I could not believe I had my own two docs by my side, asked if his PA had told me what I had said, no, please, I had warned them that I did not come out of anesthesia well, with a big smile on his face, he said you sat up and said where am I, you're in the recovery room, laid back down, sat up again, where did you say I am, you're in the recovery room after your back surgery, it went well. Laid back down. Now he's really laughing, then you sit up and say in a rather loud voice, who the "blank" gave you the authority to perform back surgery on me. And then laid back down with no further disturbance. He found me to be entertaining, I found myself to be very, very embarrassed.

ReplyDeleteHope you have a good recovery. Your story is really funny! Hope Jim is doing well also. The pillow is great!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful ring pillow. The bride definitely won't have to wonder what to do with it after the wedding, like she would with a traditional one. Excellent idea. Hope your back surgery won't keep your from doing what you love most.
