Flannels

As you might remember, I won some fabric and was gifted some flannels from Tara Darr.  I stitched an envelope purse with a great green plaid flannel and added some wool applique, the front.
The back.
A donation quilt, just need to quilt it.  Love these flannels, some actually look like wool, very soft and easy to sew.

I Got Fabric!

I have this "thing" about picking up the mail, a time past when it was more bad news than good, but today, a very enjoyable trip to the post office.   I can ignore the bills and such when I have a package, a very big package from Tara Darr of So Unique Creations.  My win from a few weeks ago from her blog giveaway.  It was suppose to be eleven pounds of fabrics.  It was suppose to be...
but Tara included all these flannels. I call them wooly flannels, I love working with these fabrics, looks like wools, but so soft and easy to machine stitch or applique by hand.  There were solids, prints as you can see from a variety of designers.  And the bags and bags of other fab fabrics, lots.

Thank you Tara for being so generous!
