Wash Day and You Know, Wildlife

Wash day with the beautiful spring weather.  Primitive Checkerboard, thinking the book will be out this spring from Fons & Porter, the quilt pattern is being republished from an earlier magazine issue.  May have already told you that, but my mind is wondering, as in wondering when am I going to do the taxes.
Peace, love and tranquility.  And no, I didn't give Sidney a bath, just rolled her in the grass outside.  Worked.
A female elk or cow as they are called, just outside the park as I'm on my way to shop this morning.
Devil's Slide, an usual cliff rock formation, so named by an explorer way back in 1871.  It's educational, if you're into rocks, and just plain nice that something like this still is, as it was way back when.
And back home to find the big horn sheep sunning themselves in the lower meadow.

Wool Reindeer Table Runner

The designer of this pattern is Jan Speed and was published in the Fons & Porter magazine back in 11/12 of 2006.  I made the table runner in the top photo several years ago for a Christmas gift.  Pretty sure I've posted a picture of it before.  I used white wool and lots of red.  The picture below is one I started when,
I can't remember, but now would be a good time to start working on it for the holiday season ahead.  This one will be smaller as you can see.  Just love this simple pattern design, can do so much with it to make it yours.

Primitive Checkerboard Quilt

A nice surprise in the mail today.  A letter from Fons & Porter magazine.  They are publishing a new book called Best of Fons and Porter Gift Quilts and want to use my quilt that was published in their magazine back in 2008.  The book won't be out until early 2012.  Such a simple little quilt using Brannock and Patek fabrics.  I'm delighted.
