On day three of the Quilt Challenge, I decided to share my Sue Spargo Quilts. This is Folklore. The applique is by hand with extensive embellishments. I can't believe it, but I actually hand quilted it.
Imperial Blooms...lots of beading on this quilt. First wool quilt that I ever machine quilted. I had to psych myself up for it. There was no turning back once I started.
Mercer Lane, thinking I made this back in 2006 or so...a time when I was just starting to make Sue Spargo quilts. A change from all the primitive quilts that I usually make. All of Sue's designs are just fun to make and embellish.
Those are great quilts! You did a wonderful job machine quilting. I found wool hard to machine quilt cause it was a bit stretchy.
ReplyDeleteYour quilts are all wonderful. I would have to get up a lot of courage to machine quilt a wool quilt, if I do I will ask you for tips!
ReplyDeletethose are all wonderful, but the top one is the one I love best, I do love the birds, and the lower and side border though on that last one. The colors are wonderful in these three!
