I finished sewing the borders on the other day. That older Brannock and Patek black striped fabric is perfect for the border. I wish I could find more of it for another quilt I'm working on.
This was a kit that I bought on Ebay last fall. I wanted something that I could work on easily while recuperating after the breaking the leg incident. It's from Jan's Girl Gang group from 2002. The seller taught the class and had many of the blocks completed and the vintage fabrics sorted so the stitching went fast. I will quilt it by hand using the big stitch.
A beautiful day, not too cold, still some snow in the background and at the higher elevations and wonderful green grasses for the wildlife.
This quilt is so beautiful. I really like how the blocks are off center - not lined up. Love the colors.

It is a beautiful quilt Nancy. One of these days I'm going to but this pattern and teach myself to applique. I am really drawn to Jan's early patterns.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt, I love how all the blocks are so different, also different techniques.
ReplyDeleteThe border is perfect for your quilt, really pulls it all together beautifully.
