I have all the sections stitched together and now I only need to add the borders. I appliqued all the pokeberries as I went along so I wouldn't get tired of just sewing circles. I love how it's turning out. It's been either raining or snowing all morning so glad the weather broke to get a picture of it outside. I actually woke up with a jolt this morning and thought it was thunder, could have been the 4.8 earthquake in Yellowstone this morning. The epicenter was about 25 miles away from where I live.
The Pokeberry was originally a Girl Gang Project from 2002 - 2003, but you can buy the book on Jan's website. Cherie Ralston also contributed several designs in the quilt.
Looking great nancy, glad to heard you are okay and nothing damaged.
ReplyDeleteNancy it looks wonderful just like all your other quilts. Will you "big" stitch this one? Love seeing all the animal pictures you post - they are amazing.
ReplyDeleteI love it!
ReplyDeleteCan't decide which is my favorite block!
Thankful all is well for you!
It wouldn't be Jan Patek if there wasn't berries. I agree that it's good to do the berries a few at a time. Your quilt is looking wonderful. You, USA, seem to be getting a lot of shakes lately.
ReplyDeleteAnother beauty Nancy...one of my favs...thought of you when I heard about the quake...glad all is well...
ReplyDeleteThat came out beautifully and love the darker sashing, great contrast for the designs.
