Sweet Grace

A pic of Sweet Grace, a design by Jan Patek, I've shown it before but what the heck.  I actually used raw edge applique on this quilt.  Next on my list to machine quilt, leaving only one more quilt to machine quilt to catch myself up.
Funny, odd how the little things can freak me out more than the monumental events.  My big computer crashed the other day, right when I was trying to open my Etsy shop.  Had to stop screaming "are you kidding me" long enough to calmly think, computer geek think, how to fix it myself.  And to my surprise, right in the middle of my computer geek thinking, I get a sale, "are you kidding me", now, I can't connect, well I can with my IPad which makes no sense, which sends me back to the main computer, it can be fixed, since it all makes no sense.  You know all this technology makes no sense, it just works, so reset, reset, reset even more and I'm back.

I will have a link to my Etsy shop soon when I'm ready.

Stark Raven Mad Close-Up

The quilt has the binding stitched on now as well as a zillion cat hairs on it since it's just cool enough at night that Sidney and Bailey want to lay on wool.  I'm glad so many of you like it, pondering the sale of it.
A close-up for Jacqueline.
Never showed the back, do love this fabric, Brannock & Patek, and I do like to use as nice a
fabric on the back to coordinate with the quilt.

A message to Judy Hansen, very much appreciate your thoughtful message.

Primitive Strippy Quilt

Pretty sure I've shown you all this quilt before, but as it came down from the ceiling for a cleaning, thought I would take a pic.  All vintage Brannock & Patek fabrics.
Simple strips with just a touch of applique.  The layout is based on an antique quilt I saw in a book.  I actually had a label on it, made in 2004, hope it hasn't been on the ceiling that long.

Stark Raven Mad

It has taken me awhile, but finally finished hand quilting my version of Cherie's Stark Raven Mad, from her book Under the Stars.
It didn't help that I had to hand quilt thru several layers of wool in some places with crochet cotton.  I used the baptist fan stencil for the quilting design, now to sew the binding.
Here's Cherie's version in case you have never seen it.  Great book, great patterns and quilts.

Inspiration

Pinterest inspiration, I like the baskets, I like the layout so
just a bit of a change since I would rather applique the baskets, needle turn.  I'll continue to add strips until I'm pleased.   Love the fabrics, the brown prints are reproductions from that win from Tara.

The Flannel Quilt

Quilted and then I appliqued a big or huge, depending on your eyesight, prim flower.
There was a flower in one of the prints, used it for inspiration for the applique, one flower, what more could any of us want to receive.

Flannels

As you might remember, I won some fabric and was gifted some flannels from Tara Darr.  I stitched an envelope purse with a great green plaid flannel and added some wool applique, the front.
The back.
A donation quilt, just need to quilt it.  Love these flannels, some actually look like wool, very soft and easy to sew.
