I finished stitching the scrappy binding on my quilt.
It's larger than it looks, the horses are about 16 inches across, just love large applique.
The wind helped a bit to show the backing fabric, a great dark blue brushed plaid, very soft.
Watching the tropical storm in the Gulf, I still have family in Texas and then the fires in the West, just makes me sick to see all the devastation from the fires. Colorado seems to having the worst of it for now, very sad.
Hi Nancy, I love your quilting. Such talent. It's going to be a long hot summer. Were already having many fires in my neck of the world of San Diego county. Two last week in the back country and one today. I can see the cal fire planes go over my house when something is going on in East county. Lets all hope for rain,

I didn't realize that the horses were that big. I love the look.
ReplyDeleteThe tropical storm is affecting our weather here in Florida. A rainy day for sure.
That's really great!!The fires in Colorado are very sad...we had that same beetle devastation here a few years ago during a bag drought...we had 32 miles of our mountains in flames back then...you can't breathe from all the smoke...we have been lucky so far this year...pleasant weather so far!!
ReplyDeleteIts just lovely!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful finish and really like the border fabric, nice way to show off the ticking in the quilt.

ReplyDeleteNancy, the quilt looks great! And how timely to have it done in time for the 4th, with it's patriotic colors.
