I'm hand quilting Jim's Cross quilt, making lots of progress with the big stitch or utility stitch as some call it using the crochet cotton for the thread.
Shy Bailey, rolling on the carpet to soak up the heat. As I said, he's shy. Funny, odd, I have no idea how that white spot got there. I don't think he knows how to photoshop a pic.
I think I should become a ten minute hooker. After seeing the cats hundled on an old quilt in front of the heater, decided they need a nice rug. I've had this rug in progress since 2005, bought it on Ebay and it was actually started by the seller. I have hooked a bit on it. Would be a nice break for my fingers from all the Christmas stitching.
Hi Nancy,
ReplyDeleteI love it when I finish a long ago started project, some how makes me feel good. I'm sure Sidney and Bailey will feel good on the finished rug.
I'm know you'll enjoy quiltng Jims quilt with the big stitches, very satisfying.I'm just starting the quilting on a quilt for my grandaughter, it's my favourite bit.
Hugs, Angela.
I would love to join sidney and Bailey on that gorgeous rug! it will be amazing kitties got it made.
ReplyDeleteJim`s quilt is just lovely you are getting it done quickly
I have a large one that I need to finish, but working a small amount each day is a great way to get them finished. I always enjoyed hooking while I watched tv at night.

Love the hooked rug and colors you're using. I'm sure you'll have plenty of snow-bound (and cold-bound) days this winter to work on this.
