So thrilled to have sewed the binding on today and call a finish to Jim's Cross Quilt. Seemed appropriate to have finished it today. Just had to take a picture of it outside on the old corral fence in the snow.
I got side tracked taking the pictures when I saw mountain lion prints in the snow. Had to track it a bit to see where he or she was heading, the tracks lead to the upper meadow. The tracks started in the ravine which is behind the corral, Jim always called it predator alley. A spot for predators to watch and wait for a potential kill. I never go back there now without a pistol to use in case I need to fire a warning shot.
It is beautiful Nancy!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful way to close out this year with a beautiful quilted tribute. Wishing all the best in 2010!
ReplyDeleteWonderful finish Nancy, read your earlier post today and was thinking about you. Do you ever see or hear Wolves. I heard a mournful dog howling the other morning and thought about what wolves sound like.

Love that you are finished with this special quilt Nancy! The picture is wonderful. Please be careful outside there! Reading about the "tracks" gave me a chill! The only predators we have ..usually, are coyotes. Blessings to you in this new year 2012!
