I decided to move my old Kenmore sewing machine that I've had stashed in the closet for years downstairs to Jim's bedroom or my bedroom now as I make that transition. Thought it would keep me from running up and down the stairs. So I get the machine all set up, runs, but I couldn't remember how to fill the bobbin with new thread. Stared at the machine for a few days, thinking I would have that light bulb moment and remember. Of course I didn't have a clue where the directions for the machine were.
Finally broke down when the light bulb didn't go off and as always, the internet to the rescue. As I read how to rewind the bobbin, why didn't I remember that.
So now, I can stitch a few quick seams when I need to without going upstairs, or having to take a quilt off my Bernina, a great time saver.
Another view from my window, the big horns in the lower meadow at the salt lick.
It takes such a long time to figure out how you want things when you are living alone again, I've been working at it for two years, think I might be getting close! Don't work yourself too hard, enjoy the view! Blessed be!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great place to sew with plenty of light coming in. I would be too busy looking out of the window to get much done.
ReplyDeleteGlad you could figure it out, I will figure mine out when I find the book. Still cleaning out boxes and the basement, so it will show up eventually.
