Progress on Ned and Jake

I started stitching the appliques on Ned and Jake.  I have found that I really love using this primitive feather stitch.  I basted the large pieces before stitching instead of using pins like Cee recommended.

I love this picture of this young Bison that I snapped in Yellowstone yesterday.  I have about a hundred pictures to go through yet and then I will share.

  1. Her wool is gorgeous, love the shades and the aged look on them.
I do like the feather stitch, makes a nice accent on them.

  8. Ned and Jake look wonderful. It's a pleasure to have quality materials to work with and quiet time to stitch them into beautiful pieces. I love the antlers on your table and most especially the little carved cat (which I can see so much better on feedly). Thank you for posting the little bison. I think you are a fine photographer and wonder what kind of camera you have. I'm sure you weren't as close to this little guy as the photo appears. Were you?! The photo makes me want to scratch his head and give him a hug. (But then I feel that way about bears, too, and know it's impossible with both animals.) Thanks for sharing your world with us, Nancy.
